Zinc helps us produce healthy collagen (your anti-wrinkle fibre), helps your skin heal, helps to prevent scarring and makes the skin strong and resilient.

Be aware that, even with supplementation, it can take many months to correct the levels of zinc in your body.
Healthy foods rich in zinc are: Oysters, chicken, eggs, salmon, tuna, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, pecans, almonds, muesli, porridge, whole grains, wheat germ, Brewer’s yeast. But remember, New Zealand soils are low in zinc so even these rich sources may not supply you with the zinc you need.
