Skin Tag & Benign Lesion Removal
Do you have unappealing growths on your neck, face, or underarms? These growths could be skin tags, a benign growth of skin that is mostly cosmetic and painless. Skin tags are harmless but can be an annoying skin condition. Skin tags are common, acquired, benign skin- coloured growths that resemble a small, soft balloon suspended on a small stalk. We can provide a safe and effective method of removal, that is quick and easy. A numbing cream is applied before the treatment to ensure it is painless.
Skin tags can occur on the eyelids, neck, underarms, bra line and groin. They usually occur due to rubbing on the skin and appear as a form of protection. Almost everyone will develop a skin tag at some stage of their life. An individual can have one or hundreds of skin tags at one time. Getting rid of a skin tag does not increase the chances of more appearing.
Skin tags and benign lesions are removed using the cauterization method, either with the electrolysis machine or Plasma.

What does the treatment involve?
After careful consultation and explanation, the area to be treated is cleaned prior to the application of a local anaesthetic on the skin. This is left for 20 minutes. Multiple shots of Plasma or Electrolysis, spaced closely together are administered with the treatment taking just minutes to perform. Due to the anaesthetic, discomfort during the procedure is minimal. The Plasma causes a process called sublimation which turns a solid into a gas so essential ‘vaporises’ the skin being targeted. There is no heat transferred to surrounding tissues and therefore no damage caused to the rest of the skin.
Results are instant with skin tag and benign lesion removal. Following treatment, a little dark brown micro-crust can be seen in the treatment site which will flake off after approximately 5 days. You should be prepared for your skin to be left slightly pink from the heat that was applied and for slight puffiness to manifest in some areas. These symptoms are usually short lived.
